Twirling

A little girl twirls in a sparkly dress. Twirling to delight her daddy.
His gaze dances in her eyes and giggles her down to her pink toes.

As she grows, darkness of the world creeps in, crowding the air.
Eventually overtakes her, snuffing her twirling freedom.

In the haze, her eyes no longer reflect Daddy's gaze.
She becomes accustomed to the darkness.
She was created to twirl in the light.

Will she forever crouch in the stifling shadows?
Has she forgotten how to twirl?

A crack of light streams in, she opens the book.
Daddy's promise shines brightly.

Standing, she begins to twirl again as His glory spins the darkness away.

"Arise, shine; For your light has come! And the glory of the Lord is risen upon you. For behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and deep darkness the people. But the Lord will arise over you. And His glory will be seen upon you." - Isaiah 60:1-2

Anyone else feel like twirling with me today?

This spoke so deeply into my heart because I am writing in my present journal right now that God has entitled:

DANCING IN MY DESTINY = Trusting God's Faithfulness!

And even on days when the sun is behind the clouds - or the pain seems overwhelming - even though the grief from loss sometimes takes my breath away ............ THERE IS GOD!

Being in His Presense overtakes me as He twirls me around reminding me that He has never let go of my hand! I am His and He is mine.

There's nothing that brings more contentment on earth!

Choosing JOY, Stephanie

This dancer's heart felt God extend His hand to me during worship Sunday and say "do you still know how to dance?" Through the praise and worship my mind did just that...danced before the King,
Now I need to wipe my eyes from the tears flowing....thanks for the post, so glad to be here,
Janette
