Finally Words

After months of chrysalis, I have the chain shattering words to reveal all that has been taking wing in my life.

Serving on the mission field for 5 years as a young family, we loved Jesus with all of our heart. We saw missions as the best way to serve Him. We were seeking Jesus but couldn't find him to the depths our hearts longed for. We both knew something was missing, words never uttered, but deep down, knowng.

Searching, we voraciously devoured every book, new teachings, attended conferences. God knew our hungry hearts. He called us out of a nation to another, back home. A way of life that defined us, surrendered to know Him.

Delivered to the doorstep of a just Jesus focussed ministry. Not just a teaching to tell us how to do it, a breathing vessel to show us step by step, hand in hand. Shifting our gaze, washing our minds in the Word, being willing to do what Jesus said to do.

At first, I cringed and fought. I knew life as a caterpillar and the munch of the leaves. Slowly, I realized .... I was created to fly free.

Our family, our marriage, our children, we wanted it better. Now it is. We knew inside something was missing. Nothing is missing now. And you can catch the glimmer of my wings as I soar.

"What the caterpillar calls the end of the world, the master calls a butterfly." - Richard Bach

Morning Sara,
What a beautiful depiction of what God has been taking you thru.
God is a God of Holy rescue, he rescues us from ourselves many times because we are going in the wrong direction and can't see it ourselves. Loved hearing how he is doing that in your lives. What looks sometimes so bad to us in the beginning is God brining us to something better. So far my experience has been that whatever the Lord decides to take away, He always puts something better in it's place!!
Praise His Name,
Thanks for sharing hon,
Blessings, Nellie

Love what Debbie and Denise already said!

Friend I'm so blessed by what God is doing in your life!

I continue to pray for you to become that much more in love with Him - because we both know greater things are to come!

Now may I ask that you pray for someone like your friend comes into our lives as well - namely mine.

God's specialty is beautiful butterflies!! He takes us as caterpillars, allows us to go thru difficult times and brings us out on the others side a beautiful, new creation.

God bless you!!

Hi There. Feel free to delete my comment, because truly I have very little right to pry into your life! A while back you commented on one of my blogs, an adoption blog that has been sorely neglected as we are busy with other things, but I was just wondering if you are still adopting? Hoping I could encourage you if it is a difficult process and you are discouraged.

Blessings from Lynsay in China.

Sara, this made me so happy to read. I think I'm just beginning to learn that it isn't important to God what we do for Him, it's important who we are in Him. And I think that's what you're whole family has been learning to live by, and that's awesome. And, I know that the God who loves you enough to transform your life, loves me and is in the process of transforming my life too.

I have to learn this lesson over and over AND OVER. I always feel that it should be the things I'm doing for God. But I also feel like I'm still wandering and wondering what I should do and be...
