A Little Secret Wrapped In Print

Sharing a little secret with you today ... a secret wrapped in the words of Sarah Young. Jesus LIves. Now, I know this might not seem like a secret, but honestly in today's world many people continue to walk around as if Jesus never rose again. He lives to give us life, true life, flowing from His love.

In this simple yet profound daily devotional, Sarah invites us to delve into all the promises that stem from the fact that Jesus lives. Is He living out loud in your life? Has His life radically transformed every facet of yours? Is the power of His resurrection radiating in your everyday? In "Jesus Lives" you are welcomed into a journey of allowing a personal Savior to live and love in your life.

Enter into an intimate conversation with Jesus as He speaks to you from the pages. Sarah amazingly writes from His perspective as if she is looking directly into your life. Her words mingle together with His as each entry provides a letter penned from Jesus and scriptures directly from the Word of God. Intimacy with Him, letting go of control, peace, trials, worry, assurance and many more encompass this 360 topical devotional.

Personally, the pages seemed to speak directly into my situations, revealing truths that were hidden from my sight or ones that I needed to be gently reminded of today. Through the pages you can be wrapped in His unconditional love day after day. Sarah's words are powerful. Yet the part of this simply written devotional that grabbed my attention is the prominence given to the Word of God. Unlike many devotionals which find a verse to support the teaching, half of each daily reading is given to scripture.

It has been a delight to review for book sneeze. Thomas Nelson has provided me with a complimentary copy of this book. The best part (and the reason, I signed up) is to GIVE AWAY books to you. So friends, celebrate with me as I start this new adventure of reading books and giving them away.

Leave a comment today sharing something I might not know about you. I'll draw a name next Friday and send the chosen friend this book to enjoy.

Sarah Dawn,

This looks like a wonderful book!

One thing you may not know about me is I am a worry wart. LOL

Admitting is the first step to recovery...right?

Blessings to you!

What don't you know about me?

Goodness, I don't know what to share.

I love chips and salsa. Wish the corn in the chips was a true whole vegetable, so I could say I eat healthy.

I love time alone.

I love finding beautiful things throughout my day. I create moments through playing music, watching birds, watching kids interact, or whatever else I see. I'm stopped in the moment often. :) It's a simple but deep way to live. I see Jesus in everything.

I dream of going on a missions trip with my family. Africa. Digging a water well and watching kids come drink.

I wish I could bottle sounds of laughter.

Okay there, I made up for my first easy way out comment.

Hugs...

So glad I stopped by today--this sounds like a great book! I'm going to have to check it out.
Let's see, what's one thing you don't know about me, I pray that God uses me in China and yet so often I fall short of Him in working with all the blessings He's already given me here. Or if you wanted something more on the lighter side (ha), I really like ice cream :-)
Hope you have a great day!

Let's see...what you might not know about me: In the mid 80's I worked for S. C. Wild Life Department (Law Enforcement). I have never flown on an air plane. I was raised by my grandparents, born to very young parents who married, but I was still considered illegitimate to most in the small rural SC community. My grandfather was a minister and the very foundation I stand on is because of the time I spent with he and my Nana who both died when I was a young teen.
You asked for one....well..guess you made me think a little...hugs, andrea

Sarah,
I love how God has given you a new and fresh perspective- it shows through your writings each time I stop by. May He continue to use you and your family to minister, give hope and encourage others.

One thing I am sure you do not know about me is that I won a watermelon seed spiting contest when I was 5 years old!!! (I'm still proud of that accomplishment after all these years ;) )

And also that my husband and I are praying about adopting one day soon :)

Much love and blessings on your day!

Brooke :)

Something you don't know about me...I'm shy but I love to laugh!

Hmm, would you send the book the whole way to Colombia if I were to win? :) It sounds good.

I bet you don't know that my favorite domesticated animal is rabbits and my favorite wild animal is elephants.

Hi Sara,
Thanks for popping in at my place! Love your blog, love your heart for the Lord. Since we just met, everything about me is new, so I'll start with something easy! I'm a morning person; I love being up before dawn and get grumpy if I stay up late.
Hope to hear from you again! :-)

Sarah, this sounds like a great devotional. Love that there's more Scripture. Nothing helps me like good old Scripture.

What you may not know about me is that I'm totally exhausted right now. Moving is taking its toll on both Greg and my bodies. We have a garage full of boxes and I'm too tired to empty them. Prayer needed. :)

Love,
Debbie

Hi Sarah,
I stopped by to thank you for visiting the Faith, Family & Fun blog last week. So glad you found us!
And here I am - reading about a book that sounds just great. So glad I found you! *grin*
Something you don't know about me? Well, that would be everything, since we just now met. *grin*
OK, how 'bout this tidbit: Between the ages of 4 and 10, I had approximately 37 stitches in my head. (Five different accidents.)
How's that for useless information? LOL!

May the peace of Christ rest upon you today.

Sara,

I have to know--do you have an "h" on the end of your name. I've seen you spell it both ways, so I just want to get it right! (That would be something that I don't know about you!).

So something that you don't know--hmmm...I have a degree in Philosophy of Religion from Talbot School of Theology. I love philosophy and use it every day as a mom!!

Blessings,
Sarah
