Love and Laughs

God has brought me laughter, and everyone who hears about this will laugh with me.” - Genesis 21:6

I never quite envisioned why God brought me back to the United States ...
To wrap me in His love.
To reveal my need for Him in a deeper, real, intimate way.
To restore our marriage, hit hard by the idols of ministry in our lives.
To teach me how to receive His love and Ryan's.
To learn to live, love, and laugh again.

My hubby surprised me with laughter. He made this video, just to make me smile. I wanted to share it with you today and splash you in the love and laughter that is splashing over me.

Ahhhhhhh, laughter! One of God's greatest gifts! We shared a hearty laugh over something at the dinner table last night. I can't even remember what it was now, but I do remember the silly looks on everyone's faces as we laughed out loud in unison, as a family! Silly sweetness!

What a thoughtful way for your husband to show his love for you!

Blessings to you friend, as always your splash to me has been a refreshing one!

Love,

Tina

That is so sweet! What a treasure from your hubby. Praying that God continues to recover you all as you seek Him in this coming year. It is amazing how ministry some times can become an idol instead of an overflow without us even realizing it sometimes. But God loves us so much, He rescues us to keep our heart faithful to Him and Him alone.

Oh Sarah, Ryan is such a treasure! Laughter is so good for the soul. I loved the video and music.

I'm so glad you opened your comments today. I've misssed you girl. I pray that this time of reflection will be just what you needed. Please let me know if I can be of any help to you my friend.

As you know, I am in the midst of much change. My theme for this year is to trust and obey. And my verse is Philippians 4:6-7. I've already been tested on that as I had a bit of a meltdown yesterday. But God is full of grace and mercy and I'm so thankful. He also has provided me with some of the best blogging buddies to encourage me.

Please allow us to encourage you on your walk Sarah Dawn.

Love you,
Debbie

I have been dying to leave you a comment Sarah and now feel a bit tongue-tied. Just wanted to say how much I appreciate your transparent, dear heart. I have thought about this journey you are on - the passion with which you have pursued the Lord, and what He has done for you. It encourages my heart to see how He loves us with such wisdom, grace and compassion.
I love the video. What fun!

I am a first time visitor here. Your words just stopped me in my tracks. "The idol of ministry"...that was a loaded sentence! I think there are so many christians involved in ministry or even just church life, who have made their 'busyness' of involvement... an idol on some level. I'm so glad that God has been working you through this, and what a great testimony. Thanks for sharing so honestly.

Blessings!

That is awesome! It is crazy to think that what starts off as something sacrificial for His glory can overcome us and we can begin to put it even above Him in our lives without even realizing. Ah, but He is so gracious and so perfect in His love. He knows just when and how to remind us and get us back to putting Him first.
Love the video and love the love behind it!
