Hugs 'til Heaven

Joshua and his Great Gram

Memories, laughter, tears, red carnations, and oodles of love - the best way to describe my Gram's memorial service. Thank you for the way you splashed me with the comments on my last post, letting my Gram's life shine for Him as you read.

My apologies for not posting in a while, we're still twisting in the whirlwind of being back in the USA. Friends to visit, family to hug, grandparents desperate to spoil their grandkids, warm showers and bubble baths, I hope you understand.

But I had to share, just can't keep it inside, can you see this proud mommy smiling? My Joshua told me just last week "Mommy, I'm ready to be baptized." I talked with him, he shared his heart, he prayed with Daddy and yes, he's ready. More ready than most I suppose, but his excitement is contagious. Following in Jesus' footsteps, he did ask if there was any possibility of being baptized in the Jordan. Not this time my sweet, but our family rejoices they can celebrate with us.

A week after his great grandmother's memorial, Joshua will be baptized. Death and life intertwined in a family tapestry of grace and redemption. What a beautiful legacy, what a beautiful Lord.

Amen! What an awesome thing to say coming from a young kid, "mommy, I'm ready to be baptized." How inspiring that he truly understands what "baptism" means at such a young age. To God be the glory! God bless.

Dear Sarah Dawn,

What a sweet little blessing your little Joshua is; I love his precious question about being baptized in the Jordan.

I am happy you can celebrate the wonderful life of your grandmother, knowing that she is in a place more beautiful than we can ever imagine…with the LORD.

1 Corinthians 2:9
But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.

Thank you for visiting my blog and leaving me such a friendly note. I am so happy to meet you!

♥ Hope

What a beautiful gift...the joy of your young son's declaration after saying a sad goodbye (for now!)to such a dear lady. God is awesome!

Thanks for sharing, for you touched my heart this morning in a special way. I was getting frustrated with all the little things I needed to do and you brought me back to "true" reality. Certainly a great way to start the day, being reminded of what it important.

Praying for you...

Death and life intertwined; wow. How awesome on the timing! Joshua is at the beginning of his earthly walk with Christ and your grandma completed hers. May the anticipation of this event encourage and comfort you during this time.

So glad we met yesterday. I can't believe how close you are to me as you've been in AZ for the funeral. But I will be following your blog and hope to get to know you better.

whoa... I was not expecting to get tears in my eyes. Not just that he's ready to be baptized (which is AWESOME) but the timing and the way you honor your Gram in and thru this. Amazing. God is good. His timing is never early or late.

I am sorry to hear aboout the loss of your Gram but so thankful to know she is with Jesus. I know you will miss her.

I miss my dad but would never want him back on this earth again. How could you ever want that? He is happy and healthy again with the Lord.

Is is so wonderful to see our children want to take that outward step of faith and get baptized. What a blessing for your family to be able to be there as well!

I see you've met Pilar, do you know Dani Joy? (Dani is a missionary to Spain).

I hope you are having a wonderful time just being with your family and friends! What a joy to be able to spend time together, if only for a little while.

I am looking forward to reading more of your blog! God bless you today, my friend!

Sarah,

Thank you for stopping by and visiting my blog. I look forward to reading more of yours and learning more about your family as well. We have friends that were in YWAM for awhile before they got married. I think missions is a wonderful calling! And I love your story about your son wanting to be baptized...that is SO precious...I would just be beaming, too!! I'm sure your Gram would be so proud! Glad that you were able to be there with her to see her "home".

I look forward to getting to know you better in the future, and I pray that your adoption journey is blessed every step of the way! It's such an incredible journey and I, too, can't wait until the day we have our little one home with us and we can cover her in hugs and kisses! Keep in touch and God bless! <><

Oh how wonderful, that your sweet baby has accept Christ!! I remember when Jacky (the middle one) Made that most important decision. I cried! I think it is the greatest joy a parent can know.

I just wanted to ask you, if you can pray for my oldest Amber, she really needs to come to know Jesus, but she is fighting it with every breath.

These are my step children, but I love them as my own. Thank you for your prayers!!

Praying for your family!!
