A Song for Momma

Jesus loves me.
Yes it's true.
He loves me and He loves you.
He loves children just like me.
And I am His for eternity.

Yes, Jesus loves me.
Yes, Jesus loves me.
Yes, Jesus loves me.
He loves me, oh so much.

Because sometimes we all need to hear Jesus loves me.  Okay.  maybe sometimes this momma needs to sing it every night, every single night.

Two sleepy little princesses who have carried pain that no child should have to bare.  They ask to sing every night.  We wrap our arms up, wrap up tight in God's love.  We sing.  I hold both little hands.

To reach both pumpkins as we sing, I have to stay on my knees.  Yep, that is where I need to be.  On my knees.  Praying God's plans for their lives.  God's plan to prosper them and give them a hope and a future.  Praying God's protection over their lives.  Reminding them and this momma Sarah that He is their shield and He will protect them.

Singing this little ditty, packed with promise.  Changes their fears into joy.  Changes this momma heavy with the crazy day of foster love, and special need kids, and homeschool duties, and balancing all this joy called life.

Because when the day is done.  Isn't this what really matters.

Yes, Jesus loves me.
Yes, Jesus loves me.
Yes, Jesus loves me.
He loves me, oh so much!

Love your post. Love you. Praying that the Lord opens a time in our schedules SOON to catch up, vent up, praise up, and support up!

Those two little pumpkins are so blessed to have you, to sing to them, of Gods love for them!

What they cannot know is....it is we who are blessed to provide the home, love, family and light of God shining into tiny lives? Right? Sometimes we all need a song in our hearts!

Oh, Sara, I am amazed sometimes by the power we moms have to set the "tone" of our home. And how I love your heart here... and your honesty. Yes, Jesus loves us and our little ones and our sweet men - all of us, despite ourselves. May He keep shining on you and through you. Happy Thanksgiving!
